COMPETITION CHEER INFORMATION

**You WILL have to complete a formal registration. After cheerleaders try-out and make the team, the registration link will be sent to the provided email.**

TRYOUTS:

Tryouts will be hosted at Temple Hill Academy from 6-8pm on the following dates: 11/4, 11/5, 11/12 & 11/14ALL dates are MANDATORY. The first 3 dates are to learn and practice routines. The last date is the official tryout date.

Cheerleaders have been scored based on their abilities and assigned to the team they fit in best. Teams are NOT to exceed 36 cheerleaders. Team sizes are at the discretion of the Cheer Director. Teams are set by the Cheer Director. NO CHANGES will be made after assignments have been released. 

Registration opens on 11/14 and will close on 11/18. Fees are due prior to the first practice. Cheerleaders will NOT be allowed to practice without completed registration.

PRACTICE:

Practices start 11/18. Practices will be most Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6-8PM at Temple Hill Academy, based on facility availability. Practices will be posted through SportsEngine to ensure easy access to team information and updates. Coaches will communicate as to which teams will be practicing and on which days they will be practicing. It is our goal to provide all practice and competition dates and information in a timely manner and hopefully before we start practicing.

For the competition season, attendance is mandatory for ALL practices. ANY and ALL absences must be excused with a doctor's note ONLYThree or more absences will be met with your child being made a team alternate. This means your child will come and participate at the competitions, but will not be guaranteed a stunting position in the routine. Being on time to practice is essential. Girls should arrive BY 5:45 to ensure practice can begin promptly.

The call will be made by 4:00pm, at the latest, if practice is moved or canceled for any reason.

Your child is to wear comfortable clothing and sneakers to practices. We ask that girls wear sneakers, leggings, and a t-shirt. Hair to to be up, with no hair down and no hair in their faces. NO BOOTS, HIGH HEELS, JEANS OR ANY RESTRICTING CLOTHING. Additionally, no jewelry or nail polish can be worn for any cheer event or practice, based on our league’s rules and regulations.

The sneakers we purchase are to be worn only for competitions. If you would like to order additional sneakers for practice that option is available.

COMPETITIONS:

We will compete in 3 OR 4 competitions. These competitions are hosted by local High Schools and will be hosted on Saturday mornings.

COST OF REGISTRATION:

$200 per cheerleader.  This includes shoes, a bow, and a t-shirt for you to keep. 

TEAMS:

Teams will be based on tryouts. These teams are blended by ability, not age.

Any girl participating in Competition Cheer must be older than 6 and younger than 15. If your child turns 15 before February 8th, they cannot participate in the competition season.

***We use the SportsEngine APP as a form of communication. It is split up for each team so you are able to communicate with your coach. This is a communication tool for coaches to communicate with parents ONLY, not for parent discussions. 

UNIFORM:

Your child is provided a shell, skirt, crop, bloomers, jacket, and pants. 

***ALL UNIFORM PIECES MUST BE RETURNED PRIOR TO OR AT THE END OF YEAR PARTY.***
